British TV and accents

I’ve been consuming a good deal (re: lots) of British television over the last few months, not counting the previous mountain of Doctor Who episodes and series 1 of Sherlock, among other things. Let’s run down the list … Jekyll, Sherlock (series 2), Downton Abbey (series 1), Game of Thrones (seasons 1 and 2 … and I know, not British television as it airs on HBO, but a UK cast, etc.), The Fades (series 1), Whitechapel (series 1), and Bedlam (series 1). I’m working on series 1 of The Hour and starting series 1 of Luther. And I have to finish up series 2 of Downton Abbey.

Mind you, I’m not counting films (with British Isle actors and accents) like Brave, Inglorious Basterds, Prometheus, Tintin, Dark Shadows, Chaplin, or the Bond films … among other things. I just might have an inner British accent that alternates between Tennant, Scottish, etc. … I’ll go back to watching Iron Man and scripting the You Only Live Twice review that I NEED to film and edit tomorrow.
